Blue Capacity Partners with IUGC 2026 to Support Early-Career Researchers

Blue Capacity is partnering with the International Underwater Glider Conference 2026 (IUGC 2026) to deliver travel support grants for students and early-career researchers (ECRs) to attend the conference in November 2026.

A limited number of grants will be available to help reduce financial barriers and support emerging researchers to participate in this global event. Recipients will have the opportunity to present their work, engage with the international underwater glider community, and build valuable professional networks.

This initiative is designed to support professional development, strengthen international collaboration, and contribute to the growth of the next generation of researchers in underwater glider science.

Grants will contribute to flights, accommodation, and conference registration costs. Applicants are encouraged to consider their funding requirements carefully to help extend this opportunity to as many researchers as possible.

Students and early-career researchers are invited to submit original work aligned with the conference themes using the application links provided. The abstract submission deadline is Friday, 26 June 2026, with successful applicants to be notified by Monday, 13 July 2026 following review by the conference Scientific Committee and the Blue Capacity team.

The conference will be held in Perth, Western Australia in November 2026.
